Healthcare professionals must always have a humanistic approach: Kerala senior IAS officer’s call to ESIC employees

MADURAI: Senior IAS officer and Principal Secretary to Government of Kerala for Parliamentary Affairs Dr.Raju Narayana Swamy had exhorted the healthcare professionals not to lose humanistic approach in the present era which is dominated by technology.

“State-of-the-art tools such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are important in health sector, but at the same time you should not lose humanistic approach,” he said.

Dr.Raju Narayana Swamy, who is known as Kerala’s anti-corruption crusader, had delivered valedictory address on June 27th 2025 at the one-week management training programme for medical superintendents of Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) which was conducted at Administrative Staff College of India in Hyderabad.

Totally 28 health professionals from 15 States with pan India representation had attended this management training programme. The senior IAS officer from Kerala regularly delivers lectures at ASCI in Hyderabad on a wide range of topics ranging from health law and Intellectual Property Rights to Technology-Law interface.

Dr.Subodh Kandamuthan, Dean, Administrative Staff College of India-Hyderabad, had presided over the concluding day function yesterday, according to a press release.
