MADURAI: Tamil Nadu Governor Mr.R.N.Ravi had handed over a new auto rickshaw to a woman auto driver Mrs.Amala by inviting her to Raj Bhavan in Chennai today-June 27th 2025.
The Governor gave her the auto keys and described her as a trailblazing woman entrepreneur and a hardworking autorickshaw driver. “We are handing over autorickshaw keys to Mrs.Amala as a mark of support and encouragement for her inspiring journey and dreams,” Mr.R.N.Ravi has said while felicitating her at Raj Bhavan today.
Earlier this year, she was felicitated during the Women’s Day celebration event held at Raj Bhavan for her resilience, strength and unwavering spirit.
“For her daily work, she was driving a rented auto in a male-dominated field to support her family and to give a better future for her two daughters. The Tamil Nadu Governor was moved after seeing her determination. Mrs.Amala stands as a torchbearer of women-led development model of New Bharat with grit, dignity and transformative potential,” a press release from Raj Bhavan has said today.
