MADURAI: A book written in Tamil carrying compilation of real life lessons for women empowerment and for next generation of women has become a highlight from Chennai on this International Women’s Day which was celebrated on March 8th 2025.
Chennai-based Mrs.Srividya Murali who is an experienced educator in teaching field had launched her debut book in Tamil titled ‘Alosanai Neram’ which is a compilation of real life experiences and personal stories that will be useful for women empowerment and learning by next generation of women.
“It is a heartfelt collection of short stories and personal anecdotes based on her life experiences. Srividya Murali is a dedicated tutor aged 55 years who believes that success in life is grounded in principles like integrity, perseverance and contentment. These values had shaped the writer’s approach in her personal life and teaching life. They are woven into the fabric of Mrs.Srividya Murali’s maiden book written in Tamil,” according to a press release received from the writer’s office today.
She hails from Chenagalpattu, studied at Ramakrishna School and did her higher education at Government Arts College in Chengalpattu, and she now resides at Saidapet in Chennai with experience as online tutor teaching students across the globe.
“The idea for the book titled ‘Alosanai Neram’ in Tamil language emerged from Srividya’s social media posts where she regularly reflected her reflections on topics such as decision making, expense management, women empowerment, handling criticism, parenting, religious festivals, traditional practices etc,” the press release added.
Her regular posts on social media struck chord with her well-wishers and this thought of writing a book came from Ms.Uma Aparna, Chief Marketing Officer, Pachyderm Tales, who encouraged Mrs.Srividya Murali to compile a book that deals with family wisdom, moral encompass, life challenges and resilience etc, the press release said.
The author released the book ‘Alosanai Neram’ in Chennai and the first copy was received by Mr.Venkatesan, Project Manager, HCL Technologies in the presence of Mahasvetha, Senior Branding and Promotion Manager, Amazon-Mumbai and Mr.Abhijit Ashok, Sales Manager, Cyberteck-Chennai.
