MADURAI: The Tamil Nadu State Government had today revoked the suspension of school teacher S.Uma Maheshwari’s suspension today afternoon- on April 1st 2024.
A dedicated Government school teacher S.Uma Maheshwari of Government Higher Secondary School in Nellikuppam in Chengalpattu district was recently suspended by the State government for posting her views and postings in social media on the issues faced by students of government schools.
Citing her social media postings as a reason, the government had suspended her as she was vocal in her points about students’ problems. Agitated with this decision, several teachers associations and unions have demanded that the school teacher’s suspension must be revoked.
