MADURAI: The Lady Doak College (LDC) in Madurai was vibrated with Christmas festival spirit as Carol Service was conducted in the campus on December 13th 2025 with a community spirit of joy, worship and reflection.
Rev.Dr.Maher Spurgeon, consultant and Director of the South Asia Program-United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia, had delivered Christmas message on the theme ‘Jesus: The Epitome of Love and Grace’.
“Jesus is the perfect model of inclusive and unconditional love. Christ’s birth broke all the barriers and united humanity with the message of love,” he said.
Dr.Beulah Jeyashree, Principal and Secretary of LDC, had welcomed the gathering while college Chaplain Dr.Jessi Ranjitha Jeba Selvi rendered the opening prayer at this carol service which was attended by staff, students, alumni, board members of Katie Wilcox Association and others, according to a press release here yesterday.
There were melodious renditions of Christmas carols by the students’ choir, faculty choir, non-teaching staff choir and children’s choir while the closing prayer and benediction was pronounced by Rt.Rev.Dr.M.Joseph, former Bishop of CSI Madurai and Ramnad Diocese.
