MADURAI: Senior advocate of the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court Mr.V.Ramakrishnan was presented with ‘Saviour of Tirupparankundram Temple’ award for protecting the religious sentiments of Hindus and devotees of Lord Muruga by arguing the case in High Court.

He was honoured at a special felicitation function organized in Madurai on November 20th 2025 by social worker Mr.Nellai Balu who is the founder of ‘Anushathin Anugraham’ which is a Madurai-based organization that has been carrying out various divine activities and special programs to highlight the Hindu traditions and rituals.

“Advocate Mr.V.Ramakrishnan had effetively argued in the Madurai Bench and obtained the court ruling in favour of Hindu devotees. The sentiments and beliefs of Lord Muruga have been protected and the High Court has not permitted animal sacrifice atop the Tirupparankundram hillock which is a very sacred place for the Muruga devotees,” Mr.Nellai Balu and other guests spoke at the award presentation event in Madurai yesterday.

Among those who felicitated High Court advocate Mr.V.Ramakrishnan for his commitment towards this case on behalf of the Hindus include Mr.Arjun Sampath of Hindu Makkal Katchi and Paganeri M.Kannappa Chettiar who is the chairman of Mangayarkarasi Mills-Madurai.

Actor Vaiyapuri and Madurai district president of Hindu Makkal Katchi Mr.Solai Kannan were among those who spoke about the significance of Tirupparankundram Subramania Swamy Temple for Hindus in general and for Lord Murugan devotees in particular.
