MADURAI: India’s inspiring sports personality and legendary cricketer M.S.Dhoni had inaugurated the Velammal Cricket Stadium at Anupanadi in Madurai today- October 9th 2025.
After arriving at Madurai airport in the afternoon, he came to the inaugural venue at Velammal Global School in Anupanadi, where he was given a warm welcome by the Velammal group led by the Chairman of Velammal Educational Trust Mr.M.V.Muthuramalingam and a rousing reception by the students and staff.
“Inauguration by M.S.Dhoni, Captain ICC Triple Trophy Winner, at Velammal Global School in Anupanadi in Madurai on October 9th 2025,” the inagural plaque of the stadium had mentioned.
Mr.Dhoni’s visit was full of excitement for the students of Velammal Group of educational institutions here as had shown a few inaugural shots on the main pitch after inaugurating the Velammal Cricket Stadium in Madurai today.
