MADURAI: Renowned heart specialist in Madurai Dr.A.Mathavan had received special recognition award from the Tamil Nadu Chamber of Cardiological Society of India on the occasion of World Heart Day 2025 awards presentation event held in Chennai.
Dr.Mathavan, who is a senior interventional cardiologist and founder of Dr.Madhavan’s Heart Centre located at Ring Road-Pandi Kovil Junction (Sivagangai Main Road/ Vikram Hospital) in Madurai, was honoured with an award in recognition of his contributions to interventional cardiology for Tamil Nadu and India, and he received the award in Chennai on September 28th 2025.
The Tamil Nadu Chapter of Cardiological Society of India had organized a special event in Chennai by inviting leading personalities from medical field for the awards presentation ceremony and also invited Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr.M.K.Stalin for the World Heart Day function to create more public awareness about prevention of heart diseases.
Awards were presented to distinguished cardiologists by Dr.Sanjay Thiyagi, Dr.V.Murugesan, Dr.Kesava Moorthy and Dr.Ashraf Kadhar Shahib, according to a press release here today.
