MADURAI: The staff and pensioners of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) here has got a good news today from the Tamil Nadu State government as the Finance Department has given its approval for disbursement of salaries for the months of May and June 2025.
“The file regarding disbursement of salaries to the staff and pay pension to the MKU pensioners has received its approval today afternoon- June 24th 2025- and the official G.O. was issued after forwarding it to the Higher Education Department. This achievement after a lot of struggle was possible through the collective efforts of various university associations and the steps taken by Dravidian Ideology Teachers Association (DITA) from Madurai. Our thanks to the Tamil Nadu Finance Department and Higher Education Department,” a press release from DITA Madurai Region has said today evening.
A delegation representing the Diravidiyan Ideological Teachers Association (DITA) has submitted a representation to the Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister in Chennai on June 20th 2025 urging him to take steps for releasing the MKU staff salaries and pension for the month of May 2025.
