MADURAI: As all schools are set for reopening soon after the summer vacation holidays, a through official inspection of school buses run by private schools was carried out at Armed Reserve Ground in Madurai city today-May 22nd 2025.
Madurai District Collector M.S.Sangeetha had undertaken the inspection of school buses which were brought to the AR Ground here today morning. Along with transport officials, she checked the safety features and condition of the school buses with focus brakes, seating, doors, emergency window, fire extinguishers and overall fitness of the buses to ensure whether the buses have the safety aspects as stipulated by government norms for school buses.
She urged the drivers of school buses to follow all safety norms and safe driving because the students’ safety is important. Officials from transport department and school education department were among those present during the inspection of all school buses of private educational institutions in Madurai today.
