Mars Mission, Tendulkar and Bharathiar: Space expert Mylsamy Annadurai cites success examples at TCE’s 67th College Day celebration in Madurai

MADURAI: Distinguished space scientist and former Director of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Satellite Center Dr.Mylsamy Annadurai has cited the examples of Bharathiar, Sachin Tendulkar and India’s Mars Mission to motivate the students on how perseverance, dedication and self-discipline can shape students’ successful future.

He was invited as chief guest for the 67th college day celebration event of Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE) in Madurai on April 3rd 2025.

“Dr.Mylsamy Annadurai began his speech by referring to Bharathiar’s quote “Nirpathuve Nadapathuve” for self-awakening, he cited the example of cricketer Sachin Tendulkar whose legendary success was a result of his dedication and discipline, and he spoke about India’s achievement of reaching the Mars as a result of sheer perseverance which led to great success,” according to a press release received from the college here today.

Four outstanding final year students of TCE- Mr.P.Surya Prakash, Ms.M.Mahalakshmi, Ms.S.Ishvarya and Mr.V.P.Srethan were felicitated with gold medals at the college day function for excelling in curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Mr.K.Hari Thiagarajan, Correspondent and Chairman, TCE, had honoured retiring staff members of the college in appreciation of their service and Dr.Mylsamy Annadurai presented medals to the best outgoing students from each department.

Dr.L.Ashok Kumar, TCE Principal, had presented the annual report of the college for academic year 2024-25 while Dr.S.J.Thiruvengadam, Director of Accreditation and International Relations, had proposed a vote of thanks.
