MADURAI: Tamil Nadu Governor Mr.R.N.Ravi had today felicitated the NIRF 2024 top ranking institutions from Tamil Nadu at a special event held in Raj Bhavan in Chennai.
At the Conclave for Excellence in Higher Education in Tamil Nadu on September 13th 2024, the Governor felicitated top rank institutes from the State which found top place in the recently released NIRF 2024 rankings, a press release from Raj Bhavan has informed today.
From Madurai, the Thiagarajar College was among the institutions that was felicitated and congratulated by the Governor for its top level ranking achieved in NIRF rankings list 2024 (National Institutional Ranking Framework).
“The Tamil Nadu Governor had felicitated Thiagarajar College college president Dr.Uma Kannan, college Principal Dr.D.Pandiaraja and NIRF team of Thiagarajar College at the Conclave for Excellence in Higher Education held at Raj Bhavan in Chennai today, for securing 15th rank in NIRF rakings list at national level in the colleges category. In this conclave, the top performing institutes had given a Power Point Presentation (PPT) about the practices being followed for securing top ranking in different categories, and this PPT helps others to get holistic knowledge and facilitates knowledge sharing among academic peers,” a press release received from Thiagarajar College in Madurai has said on September 13th 2024.
SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT IN RANKINGS LIST:
Thiagarajar College in Madurai has shown great improvement in the NIRF rankings list and going up the ladder. This college got 44th rank in NIRF 2018, and 32nd rank in NIRF 2019, and 22nd rank in NIRF 2020, 23rd rank in NIRF 2021, and 22nd rank in NIRF 2022, it secured 18th rank in NIRF 2023 and now it got 15th rank in NIRF 2024 rankings.
“Our college has been consistently improving the ranking over the years and got highest grade A++ in fourth cycle of NAAC accreditation with a score of 3.63 out of 4. Today, the college Secretary Mr.K.Thiagarajan had congratulated all the staff of Thiagarajar College for their commendable achievement at national level,” the press release added.
