Former Vice-Chancellor of MKU passes away

MADURAI: Dr.P.Maruthamuthu, former Vice-Chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) here, had passed away in Chennai today morning- May 5th 2024. He was 79.

He served as MKU Vice-Chancellor for a period of three years from March 2005 to March 2008. University employees had expressed their deepest condolences to the bereaved family of Prof.P.Maruthamuthu.

“He was a man of honesty, man of love and man of simplicity. The entire staff and pensioners of MKU are mourning his death. He was a Vice-Chancellor who changed the life of several casual workers and temporary staff for their welfare,” MKU senior employees and Mr.P.Murugan (president), Dr.S.Muthiah (treasurer) and Mr.K.Sundaramoorthi (general secretary) of MKU Administrative Staff Association have said in their condolence message today.
