CM urged to remove Controller of Exams of Madurai Kamaraj University for several violations

MADURAI: A complaint letter was shot off to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr.M.K.Stalin a few days back requesting him to remove the Controller of Examinations in-charge of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) Dr.T.Dharmaraj for violating the government norms in conducting online exams, missing of more than 350 answer scripts of students, putting students to hardships and for spoiling the conducive atmopsphere by creating groups.

The letter was shot off last month in the name of ‘The Employees Staff Association of MKU’ with the subject stating ‘unlawful activities of Dr.T.Dharmaraj-Controller of Examinations in-charge’.

“There are violations of government norms in valuing the online answer scripts and it also caused financial loss to the university. Due to his irresponsibility in handling the exam answer scripts, 380 papers of April 2023 examinations got missed. The present Controller of Examinations of MKU had also stalled issuing of few types of certificates to students, he also formed some groups in the varsity campus and trying to become a power centre. Dr.T.Dharmaraj also stopped tatkal system for getting degree certificates which is causing delay in signing the certificates. So, we request the Chief Minister and Higher Education Minister to relieve him and remove him as Controller of Exams,” the letter showing the receiving date as April 4th 2024 has said.

MKU sources said today that this letter has been circulated to university employees and it is doing rounds in varsity campus.
