MADURAI: The Department of Mathematics of Lady Doak College in Madurai had conducted inter-collegiate meet Mathematics Carnival’24 on February 22nd 2024. Totally 160 students from 11 colleges participated in the event while the overall shield was bagged by Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College, Sivakasi.
Dr.Ravia Shabnam Parveen N, Head and assistant professor, Department of Data Science at American College here had delivered the inaugural address, according to a press release received from LDC today. Various competitions such as paper presentation, beautiful mind, dumb charades, 3-D pencil sketching, mathematical Rangoli, quiz and mathematical model were conducted in this carnival.
Dr.Nirmala Rebecca Paul, Head and Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, LDC, delivered the valedictory address and distributed prizes to the winners.
