MADURAI: A special drive to remove roadside silt, mud and sand was taken up at Bypass Road in Madurai city today morning-on February 2nd 2024.
Madurai District Collector M.S.Sangeetha and Corporation Commissioner L.Madhubalan had flagged off this roadside cleaning work near Lakshmi Bhavan Hotel in Bypass Road in Zone-3 of the corporation, according to a press release received from the collectorate today.
A large number of corporation sanitary workers and students took part in the roadside mud removal drive.
Also, an intensive road silt removal drive took place at Kaalavasal Junction in the city today morning from 6 am, which was held under the aegis of Young Indians-Madurai along with the Madurai Corporation by covering areas in Palanganathan-Kaalavasal.
