Madurai to Kasi special train on JAN 16th 2023 for ‘Thai Amavasya’; also covers Gaya, Kolkata and Puri temples etc

MADURAI: A special tourism train will leave from Madurai to Kasi Varanasi for the benefit of pilgrims who want to go to the holy Kasi for coming ‘Thai Amavasya’. The special train from Madurai to Varanasi will leave Madurai on January 16th 2023, and this train is especially for the convenience of people who want to perform rituals to ancestors because auspicious ‘Thai Amavasya’ is dedicated to perform rituals to ancestors in Kasi and get the blessings of ancestors.

On January 19th, this train will enable the pilgrims and tourists to be at the famous ‘Triveni Sangamam’- Sakthi Peedam darshan, on January 20th at the Holy Ganges river and Kasi Viswanath temple darshan, on January 21st at Gaya, on January 25th at Kolkata Kali temple and Belur Math, on January 26th at Odisha Puri Jaganath temple and the return to Madurai on January 28th, according to a press release received from the Southern Railway Madurai Division here today- on December 12th 2022.

Th second class sleeper train fare / accommodation in the pilgrim spots and tourist places/ and food along with local transport conveyance is Rs.21,500 per person per passenger and the Railway had made arrangements through IRCTC for passengers’ convenience and for those who want to go to Kasi temple Varanasi for the coming ‘Thai Amavasya’. For 3rd AC sleeper compartment coach, the rate is Rs.27,800 per passenger per person.
