Swami Vivekananda inspires India; MKU message to youth

MADURAI: The Department of National Service Scheme (NSS) and Swami Vivekananda Higher Research and Education Centre of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) have jointly organized the National Youth Day Celebration in Madurai through a webinar for the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda – ‘National Youth Day’- on 12th January 2021.
MKU Vice Chancellor Prof. M.Krishnan who presided over the function has said in his presidential address that if the ideas of Swami Vivekananda reach the national youth, our nation will be in an apex position in the world.

Dr. K. Chandran Professor of Zoology, Vivekananda College (Rtd.) has demonstrated the contributions of freedom fighters and Swami
Vivekananda and insisted the youngsters to imbibe the same. Dr. Nagalingam of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Madhya Pradesh has illustrated the contributions of Swami Vivekananda and spoke about the key contributions of Swami Vivekananda that must be borne in the minds of youngsters.

Selvi. Jeffrina and Mr. Mohammed Ali have given their short addresses on the contributions of Swami Vivekananda. Dr. Theenadayalan, Member-Syndicate, Madurai Kamaraj University, welcomed the gathering. Dr. P. Rajkumar, Professor of Sociology, NSS programme Co-ordinator (i/c) had delivered a vote of thanks. Dr. P. Jeyabharathy, Director, Swami Vivekananda Higher Research and Education Centre, and others spoke at today’s event in organized by MKU- on January 12th 2021.
