MADURAI: On the auspicious Vinayaga Chathurthi festival day today, the ‘Lotus Times’ website has received information that three faculty members of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) are not being given their monthly salary for the past 15 months even after getting Madras High Court interim order from the Madurai Bench here.
“How can we run our family? How to sustain our livelihood? The Vice-Chancellor Prof.M.Krishnan is aware of this issue. Senior advocate Mr.Isaac Mohanlal argued for the Madurai Kamaraj University as varsity lawyer. Even after the High Court’s interim injunction, our salary was stopped due to retirement age issue. Three faculty members got badly affected because of no salary. Two are from MKU College- Alagarkoil Road and one is from MKU campus. Will the VC listen to the appeals from these three families on this Vinayaga Chathurthi festival?,” sources in teaching staff association said on 22nd August 2020.
