MADURAI: There is a lot of anxiety and suspense among the academic fraternity in Tamil Nadu on who are the 12 candidates called for interview to be done on 28th July 2020 by a VC Search Committee for University of Madras.
Totally 177 applicants were there who had applied for this post. The 12 names for VC post interview of Madras University include Ganesan, J.Kumar, Usha Natesan, Kalyani Mathivanan, Gowri, Manimekalai etc. Sources said that the University of Madras will get a woman VC and steps will be taken to appoint a woman who is well qualified and well connected with academia due to vast experience in teaching. The interview for 12 candidates is on 28th July 2020.
