RATION SHOPS IN TN ARE UNDER VIGILANCE WATCH (Video)

MADURAI: Cooperation Minister Mr.Sellur K.Raju has today said that ration shops in Tamil Nadu are under scanner and are being closely watched by the Vigilance Department teams to prevent diverting of essential commodities meant for distribution to people and to check any sort of irregularities.

“The government is taking strict surveillance measures in fair price shops. Staff working in ration shops are being watched by the vigilance department. Keeping people’s welfare in mind, 50 kilos of rice is being provided to rationcard holders,” the Minister said here today- 14th May 2020.

He was speaking to reporters after distributing relief items to construction workers and poor families at Jaihindpuram in Madurai. “Tamil Nadu Chief Minister is ready to implement One Country One Ration card scheme proposed by the Centre. I also appeal to the ration card holders to not sell the commodities given in ration shops to others,” he added.

Mr.Sellur Raju has informed that the expert committee formed by the State government will recommend a roadmap for revival and rejuvenation of industries and businesses in Tamil Nadu in the aftermath of Corona lockdown crisis.
