MADURAI: Different ways of campaign are being done to create public awareness about the deadly Coronavirus. Drawing the images of Corona and art paintings in public places such as main roads, streets, walls etc are done to draw the attention of people on how to keep ourselves safe and protected.
In Madurai, a painting of Corona virus image was drawn in Madurai Corporation headquarters ‘Anna Maaligai’ today by social activists John, Mariselvam and their team- 22nd April 2020.
The Corona paintings were already done at junctions in Teppakulam, Munichalai, Kaalavasal, Anuppanadi and Keerathurai, a press release from Madurai Coporation informed.
“We have painted the Coronavirus image because it constantly reminds people about the safety precautionary steps. We also must thank our doctors, police, health department and sanitary workers for their role in this crisis time. We thank our Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan who asked us to paint the Corona image in ‘Anna Maaligai’ premises,” Mr.John said today.
