MADURAI: The Madurai Corporation will keep the ‘Amma Canteens’ open tomorrow- on 22nd March 2020- despite the ‘Janata Curfew’ call to prevent spread of Coronavirus.
The Amma Canteens will function as usual in public interest and for the benefit of those who are dependent on these low cost food canteens for their food.
According to a press release from the Madurai Corporation, the ‘Amma Canteens’ (Amma Unavagam) at Aarapalayam Busstand, Aanaiyur, Pudur, Gandhipuram, Ramarayar Mandapam, GRH, CMR Road, Sundararajapuram Market, Periyar Bysstand, Tiruparankundram Bus stand, and at Palanganatham will be open as usual on 22nd March 2020- Sunday.
