MADURAI: Senior BJP leader and Union Minister of State Mr.Pon.Radhakrishnan has accused the DMK of doing nothing for Tamil Nadu, especially for southern districts and Madurai, when it was in power for a long period in the UPA government at the Centre.
“But, look at our Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi’s government. In Modi’s first budget, the first announcement was establishing AIIMS in Tamil Nadu. Mr.Modi took forward Vajpayeeji’s earlier announcement to implementation stage in his very first budget itself and today AIIMS became a reality in Madurai. So, PEOPLE HAVE TO THINK,” he said.

Mr.Pon.Radhakrishnan spoke at a THANKS-GIVING public meeting for Modi, which was organised by the Madurai city unit BJP Pudur Mandal at Anna Nagar on July 5th 2018.
“The DMK and Congress party were in alliance in UPA and there were 10 Ministers from Tamil Nadu in that government. For 10 years what did they do? How many projects came to Tamil Nadu?. How much investment came? What did they do for Madurai? Except scams and corruption, the DMK in particular failed miserably despite enjoying plum posts in Union cabinet,” he charged.
BJP State vice-presidents Mr.S.Surendran and Mr.Suba.Nagarajan, State secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan, BJP Madurai city unit president Mr.Saseeraman and party functionaries from various mandals. participated in the public meeting which drew a huge gathering.
