MADURAI: The State Executive Committee meeting of Tamil Nadu BJP Weavers Cell will be held at Tiruchengode on November 26th 2017 (Sunday) from 10 a.m.
Union Minister of State for Finance and Shipping Mr.Pon.Radhakrishnan will participate in the meeting and address the EC members.
Senior leader and State general secretary Mrs.Vanathi Srinivasan, and BJP leaders from various places in the State have been invited for this important meeting.
Mr.K.S.Balamurugan, State Convenor of Tamil Nadu BJP Weavers Cell, has said on November 21st that the issues, problems and requirements of weaving community in the State will be discussed in detail at the EC meeting and all steps will be taken to find solution to the problems of weavers.
55 ASSEMBLY CONSTITUENCIES:
In Tamil Nadu, 55 Assembly constituencies have a very large number of people in weaving occupation and hence their welfare is politically important for the party also.
“Weavers are deciding factor in 55 assembly constituencies……The BJP will genuinely / sincerely work for their welfare and the State-level EC meeting of our Weavers Cell will take decisions on conducting special programmes for weavers from mandal level in districts,” Mr.Balamurugan has said.
The welfare schemes being implemented by Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi Government at the Centre will be explained to the weavers by a team of Central government staff various related departments – Khadi board, textiles etc…..after the EC meeting from 4 p.m. on November 26th 2017.
OVER 200 PARTICIPANTS EXPECTED:
More than 200 persons are expected for the Tiruchengode meeting including 150 EC members and special invitees / district office-bearers.
This meeting of the State Weavers Cell is expected to give great hope to weavers in Madurai, Kanyakumari, Sankarankoil, Tiruchengode, Tirupur, Rasipuram and other places in Tamil Nadu where weavers are concentrated.
