MADURAI: The BJP district president of Madurai City unit Mr.Saseeraman on Sunday asked the party’s mandal presidents and other office-bearers to take people’s issues and problems to the notice district Collector and Madurai Corporation.
“Find out from the public in your area on what they want…their genuine problems can be taken to collector and corporation commissioner’s attention and let us be with the people always to help them as a good link,’ he said.
Mr.Saseeraman made this call to the party’s mandal presidents at the executive committee meeting of the BJP Madurai Urban District (city area covering 100 wards) held in Madurai on August 6th 2017 (Sunday).
He said that the office-bearers in every ward must be ready to face any election either local bodies, assembly or for that matter even the 2019 Lok Sabha elections by preparing a clear road map.
CONCENTRATE ON BOOTHS:
“People are ready to join the BJP….let us concentrate in all the 1,223 booths in Madurai city….Our party is known for taking collective decisions through a proper system…and hence every mandal president in Madurai city area should form core committees in their respective mandals to be in connect with people…let the BJP emerge as a decisive political force,’ Mr.Saseeraman added.
The party work carried out in the last two months in Madurai city was reviewed and all mandal presidents read out their reports in the presesence of the party leaders.
RESOLUTIONS PASSED:
Totally 11 resolutions on a wide range of public issues were passed at the EC meeting of Madurai Urban District unit on August 6th 2017. Party leader K.K.Nagar M.Kannan highlighted the importance of some of the resolutions adopted in the meeting.
BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan, general secretaries K.K.Sreenivasan and D.M.Balakrishnan, women’s wing district president Mrs.Meenambigai, district Youth Wing president Raja Sampathkumar and the presidents of various wings of the party in Madurai city were among those who attended the meeting.
The EC meet took place in the presence of BJP senior leader and State vice-president Mr.M.R.Gandhi who gave an encouraging speech to the Madurai urban district office-bearers.
