MADURAI: Rains in Madurai district and surrounding areas is giving a good news as water level in the Vaigai Dam is increasing gradually. On 15th September 2020, Madurai continued to have rainfall from around 4.30 pm and there is rain in various areas in Madurai region.
According to PWD data on 15th September 2020, the water level in Vaigai Dam is at 61.68 Feet (Total capacity 71 feet). The water level in Periyar Dam stood at 126.20 feet today.
