MADURAI: Strong objections are being raised in Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) campus in Madurai as the university’s Controller of Examinations Ravi is taking unilateral decisions and just informing the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar about his decisions.
Allegations and complaints have gathered momentum on 8th August 2020 since the MKU Controller of Examinations had given internal transfers to a few employees from the Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) additional controller section to the Controller of Examinations section a couple of days ago on his own decision, sources in the university told ‘Lotus Times’ English news website today evening (on 8th August 2020).
“The Controller of Examinations Ravi is taking all powerful decisions above our university VC and Registrar. He started issuing notices and giving transfers for the past one week and some employees were changed to Controller of Exams sections. Internal transfers and issuing memo is a power vested with the Registrar as per the MKU Statute. He is signing and informing the Registrar and VC,” an employee had lamented today urging the Higher Education Department, Syndicate Members, academic fraternity and others to protect the employees and university rules.
