MADURAI: An Aavin milk van had fallen from Ellis Nagar bridge in Madurai city today evening- on 9th July 2020- and driver Muniyandi died on the spot.
The milk lorry, which is on contract with Aavain, was coming from Usilampatti to Madurai Aavin. While moving on Ellis Nagar bridge, the vehicle lost control and fell on the side lane near the West gate of Madurai railway station, sources said.
Driver Muniyandi, who belongs to Peraiyur, got crushed in the vehicle and died there itself. Police personnel had rushed to spot where this mishap occurred. Fire and Rescue Services team also reached there. Traffic was disrupted for a while in that lane near Ellis Nagar here today evening.
