MADURAI: The wholesale vegetable market which is temporarily functioning from Mattuthavani bus stand in Madurai will be shifted to other places in the city since the transport- bus services are resuming shortly after lockdown restrictions.
Wholesale vegetable shops- vegetable sellers will be moved to three places likely – at Agricultural College ground in Othakadai, Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College in Pasumalai and to the Corporation ground in Viratipathu.
Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan had inspected the places on 14th May 2020 along with senior officials, according to a press release from the Madurai Corporation here today.
In view of Corona lockdown restrictions and to ensure social distancing, the corporation had earlier shifted the wholesale central vegetable market shops to Dr.MGR Bus Stand in Mattuthavani. Now from there, the shops will be shifted to other three places since the bus services would resume soon.
