RAMANATHAPURAM: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made a strong complaint against Ramanathapuram constituency Lok Sabha MP Mr.K.Navaskani for his inflammatory public statements on the action taken by Tamil Nadu police against 11 persons from Indonesia.
Mr.D.Kuppuramu, State Vice-President, BJP Tamil Nadu, has written a complaint letter (dated 24th April 2020) to Ramanathapuram District Superintendent of Police urging him to take steps for registering a case against the MP who has made an allegation that a false case has been registered against the 11 persons from Indonesia.
COMPLAINT LETTER:

“It is pertinent to state that these 11 persons from Indonesia have come to India and have visited Ramanathapuram to propagate Islam without valid permission from the Government of India during the Corona pandemic time. They came from Indonesia on a tourist visa and have propagated religion violating the visa norms,” Mr.Kuppuramu had pointed out in his complaint letter to Ramnad district SP yesterday.
The BJP leader told reporters here today- 25th April 2020- that the Ramanathapuram MP had questioned the police for filing a legitimate case.
“Navaskani’s statement appeared in print / electronic media and also social media. It is likely to disturb communal harmony in Ramanathapuram district. The MP is conniving with illegal acts of 11 accused and it amounts to act of sedition,” Mr.Kuppuramu had observed. He had also sent copies of this letter to Lok Sabha Speaker, Home Minister, Tamil Nadu DGP and others.
Among those present at Mr.Kuppuramu’s pressmeet were former district secretary of Ramanathapuram district BJP Mr.Athma Karthick, Union president Mr.Murugesan and Union councilor Mr.Murugan.
