MODI MUST TALK TO INDIAN PRESS ABOUT CORONAVIRUS

2080

MADURAI: It is time for Indian Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi to come out and address a press conference at least now because of the threat of Coronavirus which is shaking several States in the country.

When all other countries’ Presidents and Prime Ministers are talking to journalists in their countries, is it not right to expect Prime Minister Mr.Modi to come out and address a national level press conference about the current pandemic situation as on 15th March 2020.

Twitter handles and social media messages from him are OK. But, it will be appropriate for Mr.Narendra Modi to give a ‘media darshan’ LIVE atleast now because it is a national level public health emergency.

Talking to SAARC leaders is one side of the handling of containing the virus spread, but it is the bounden duty of our PM Mr.Modi to talk straight to the Indian media at a press conference in the national capital New Delhi and tell the steps taken to prevent Coronavirus cases.

Hope there will be a good sign from No.7, Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi which is the PM’s residence. When people in India are dying and going to hospitals, it is not right to send just Twitter messages. Hope better sense prevails at all levels of leadership and governance in India. Words directly from PM Modi will create confidence at all levels through his nationally televised press conference.
