MADURAI: The new office-bearers of Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) Madurai Local Branch for the period 2026-28 were elected at its annual general body meeting held in Madurai today-October 26th 2026.
K.K.G.Prabhakaran was elected as chairman along with Dr.C.Muthuraja as vice chairman, K.Baskaran as secretary and Dr.Koodalingam as treasurer, according to a press release. Those who got elected as EC members are Mr.Chakarabani, Mr.Ilangovan, Prof.Renganathan and Dr.Jeganath Srinivasan.
Past chairman C.R.Patel was election officer and among those who were present include past chairman Dr.Thulasi Brindha and Dr.Jayakodi.
“IIPA is a national body and our Madurai Local Branch is planning to conduct training programmes on governance, public administration and skill development events for students, women and rural people. The office-bearers will also participate and present their report at IIPA New Delhi annual prelude conference on the topic ‘Citizen Services in the Age of AI’ to be held on October 31st and November 1st 2026, the press release added.
