Madurai CEOA students go green, aim for Guinness (Video)

MADURAI: Thousands of students of CEOA School in Madurai turned up in one place to draw their paintings and draw public attention towards the importance of saving our trees, plants, greenery and thereby nature.

On 28th January 2020, nearly 7,000 students of this school gathered at Armed Police Grounds in Madurai city and showed their resolve through drawing on theme ‘Save Trees Save Nature.’ It was also a green attempt for Guinness Record entry and a global message in today’s situation where safe environment is under threat.

Madurai District Chief Educational Officer Mr.R.Swaminathan had inaugurated this massive movement by students for green mission.

The present Guinness Record is held by Netherlands where about 2,000 students took part in drawing by painting their ideas to save nature at a time. Now, the Madurai CEOA School aims to beat that record and it was conducted here with a lot of enthusiasm and drive to save nature through saving trees.
