
MADITSSIA submits memorandum to MSMEs Minister Mr.P.Madhanraja in Chennai on June 10th 2026.
MADURAI: A team of office-bearers from influential trade body MADITSSIA in Madurai had met the Tamil Nadu government Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Mr.P.Madhanraja in Chennai yesterday-June 10th 2026- and submitted a memorandum to him on the immediate expectations of MSME sector in the State.
The Madurai District Tiny & Small Scale Industries Association (MADITSSIA) had urged the Minister to take quick measures for expediting the proposed SIPCOT industrial park at Melur in Madurai district to enhance employment opportunities for youth in southern districts.
It also asked the Tamil Nadu State government to establish a 1,000-acre SIPCOT industrial park in Madurai to attract automobile sector large-scale industries to this park so that it will create business opportunities for the surrounding MSME enterprises.
MADITSSIA team also requested the new government to encourage creation of more industrial estates across the State by giving 90 per cent subsidy for the development of infrastructure facilities in private industrial estates, and the association also asked for reforming the single window system for MSMEs to prevent delays in processing of applications from micro, small and tiny industrial units.
The MADITSSIA team from Madurai which met the Minister in Chennai and submitted a memorandum include its president Mr.V.Senthikumar, vice president Mr.J.Mohamed Yasik, secretary Mr.J.Ashok and past president Mr.M.S.Sampath.
They also sought the support of District Industries Centre (DIC) for GeM registration to help the MSMEs use and register easily on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal and also make effective use of opportunities, according to a press release received from the association here yesterday.
