MADURAI: The new office-bearers of Madurai Rifle Club which is located at Race Course Road here were elected and the names officially declared on January 24th 2026.
S.Velshankar was elected as secretary of The Madurai Rifle Club while G.Elangovan and S.Savinthana Devi will be the joint secretaries and P.Kishore is the treasurer, according to a press release here today.
D.Manohar Raj was elected as Quarter Master and the Additional Members are V.Christopher Ramesh, V.Hari Hara Sudhan, P.John Kingsly, J.Justin Thiraviyam and P.Rajaram.
The election took place in the presence of Madurai City Police Commissioner Dr.J.Loganathan IPS who is the president of Madurai Rifle Club and Deputy Police Commissioners Mrs.Rajeswari and Mr.Thirumalai Kumar who are the vice-presidents of Madurai Rifle Club.
“Totally 199 members of Madurai Rifle Club had cast their votes in the election today. The election result was announced at 2.45 pm today by the Madurai Police Commissioner Dr.J.Loganathan IPS today and the winners in today’s election were greeted by the members of Madurai Rifle Club,” the press release on January 24th 2026 has informed.
