MADURAI: The Congress party will take an important decision on January 18th 2026 about its political alliance for assembly elections in Tamil Nadu after Mr.Rahul Gandhi’s meeting in New Delhi with party leaders and functionaries from the State.
“There will be a clear picture from that meeting about our alliance with which party and seat-sharing for coming assembly elections. Our leader Mr.Rahul Gandhi and national president Mr.Mallikarjun Kharge are going to discuss about TN alliance issue with Congress leaders from our State and take their opinions. The AICC had called for a meeting on January 18th 2026 at 3 pm in New Delhi. Our present MPs, ex-MPs, MLAs, State office-bearers and important leaders from our party in Tamil Nadu will attend that crucial meeting and that meeting will give an important message about the party with which we will have politcal alliance in the coming Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu,” Congress party sources told ‘Lotus Times’ media in Madurai today.
