MADURAI: The shopping mood in Madurai gets a momentum as Tamukkam Ground in the city is going to be a hot spot before the arrival of new year for ‘Shopping Thiruvizha’ which is being organized for three days from December 27th 2025.
This trade fair festival is being organized jointly by the Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Madurai Economic Chamber with a wide range of products by various companies and lucky draw prizes to the visitors at different timgs.
Speaking to reporters at a press meet here yesterday, TN Chamber secretary Mr.S.Sridhar has said that trade fair from September 27th to 29th will be a ‘Shopping Thiruvizha’ for people in Madurai and surrounding places.
“There will be more than 200 stalls in this expo at Tamukkam Convention Centre. Definitely we are expecting a huge response from the public and entry is free. Families can come happily and buy various items under one roof. There will be household products, domestic appliances, food court etc. For the visitors, there will be a lucky draw four times on all the three days based on the entry slip number. Totally 48 lucky draw prizes will be given daily for three days and on the last day there will be an attractive bumper prize (double door refreigerator),” TN Chamber secretary Mr.S.Sridhar and Madurai Economic Chamber’s Mr.A.Mohammed Khan told mediapersons here yesterday.
The trade fair timing is from 10 am to 9 pm and there is no entry ticket. Mr.V.Neethi Mohan, Managing Director, Vaigai Agro Products Ltd and Mentor of all forums of TN Chamber, will inaugurate the ‘Shopping Thiruvizha’ at Tamukkam Ground in Madurai on December 27th 2025 morning.
