MADURAI: The new office-bearers of Madurai Bar Association 2025 were elected through voting which took place in Madurai yesterday- August 8th 2025. Several lawyers were in the fray for various posts in the association and election results were declared today early morning.
Mr.A.Baskaran who got 1,346 votes was declared elected as president of Madurai Bar Association while advocate Mr.S.Mohan Kumar got elected again as secretary for the fourth time by securing a whopping 1,981 votes. Lawyer Mr.S.Rajamohan who secured 1,125 votes was elected as treasurer of the Madurai Bar Association.
Mr.B.Karthikeyan (below 10 years) with 688 votes and Mr.S.Balamurugan (above 10 years) who polled 927 votes in this election were elected as assistant secretaries of the Madurai Bar Association. The names of EC members who got elected will be announced by today evening, according to information received from legal sources. The tenure is for two years.
