MADURAI: The 33rd inter-divisional Railway Protection Force (RPF) Kabaddi tournament 2025 took place in Madurai on April 18th and 19th 2025.
In a closely contested final match here today evening-April 19th 2025, the team from Tiruchi Division clinched the first place while the Madurai Division had secured the second place, according to a press release received from the Southern Railway Madurai Division here today evening.
Mr.Sharad Srivastava, Divisional Railway Manager, Madurai Division, was present at the closing ceremony and he distributed prizes to the teams in the presence of railway officials and RPF staff. The kabaddi tournament was conducted at Red Field Ground in Madurai and teams from Madurai, Tiruchi, Chennai and Salem had participated, the press release said.
Mr.L.Nageswara Rao, Additional Divisional Railway Manager-Madurai Division, inaugurated the RPF inter-divisional kabaddi tournament on April 18th 2025 morning in the presence of M.Sivadas, Assistant Security Commissioner, Railway Protection Force-Madurai Division and league matches were held between the participating teams.
The final match of this tournament between Madurai and Tiruchichirappalli teams took place today evening in Madurai and the Divisional Railway Manager was the chief guest to witness the match and distribute prizes.
“This 33rd RPF Inter-Divisional Kabaddi Tournament 2025 was successfully organized in Madurai by inspector Mr.Satri Marku along with Mr.Nishanth (inspector-crime branch), Mr.Mohan Singh Meena (inspector RPF-Madurai) and Mr.J.Manoharan (Divisional Headquarters Inspector-RPF Madurai. The Tiruchi Division team got the first place and Madurai Division team secured second place in this kabaddi tournament,” the railway press release added.
