MADURAI: Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary and management studies expert Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan had exhorted/ motivated the youth to clearly understand that fundamental rights and citizens’ duties would go together in nation building.
Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi gave a new description for IT. It is Indian Talent and that must be used effectively for New India…..a developed India. Information Technology and Indian Talent…..that is IT as said by Mr.Modi.
“Fundamental duties of Indian citizens have to be followed….Our Constitution gave us rights but at the same time we have certain duties too….The people, especially our youngsters, have to follow their basic duties….responsibilities for the country…..Only Responsible Citizenship gives enlightened leadership,” he said while addressing the students of Government Arts College in Melur, near Madurai, on October 10th 2017(Tuesday).

The Melur Government Arts College in Madurai along with Madurai district Nehru Yuva Kendra, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, NSS unit and with participation of Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam Ilaignar Narpani Mandram – Chokkampatty- organised Neighbourhood Youth Parliament in the college campus.
“A New Thinking is essential among our youth…..People / youth and all of us must participate in our local activities…….questioning the Government alone is not enough…..understand the problems / issues in your local area……question the government…and it will be people’s victory for democracy…..true meaning, ” he advised the college youth in Melur.
YOUTH TOLD ABOUT DEMOCRACY, THEIR DUTIES:
A large number of students from various departments in the college participated in the Youth Parliament where social / economic issues were discussed.
