MADURAI: Passengers who are going on a divine journey to Varanasi, Ayodhya, Gaya, Puri eyc through ‘Punya Teerth Yathirai’ special tourist train were greeted and felicitated at the Madurai Railway Junction here today morning- on 5th May 2023 at 7 am.
They are travelling in a IRCTC special train in a package tour organised under the Bharat Gaurav Scheme by the railways, which started from Thiruvananthapuram Kochuveli on May 4th 2023, taking them to various pilgrimage destinations- Puri, Konark, Kolkata, Gaya, Varanasi (Kasi), Ayodhya and Allahabad.
The train arrived at Madurai railway station today morning and senior officials led by Divisional Railway Manager of Madurai Railway Division Mr.P.Ananth were present at the station to greet the passengers travelling in this special pilgrimage tour. Mr.Bashith Ahamed, Area Manager, IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation)-Tiruchi and Madurai, along with Station Manager Mr.P.Lingeswaran were present at the Madurai railway station today morning, a railway press release received here today has informed.
