MADURAI: The Southern Railway will run Tambaram – Nagercoil weekly superfast special train and Tirunelveli – Tambaram weekly special train via Tenkasi for the convenience of passengers during summer holidays, a press release received from the Southern Railway Madurai Division here today has informed.
Tambaram – Nagercoil weekly superfast special train (06005) will leave Tambaram on Fridays from April 22 to June 24 at 19.30 hrs and reach Nagercoil at 07.00 hrs in the next day. In the return direction, Nagercoil – Tambaram weekly super fast special train (06006) will leave Nagercoil on Sundays from April 24 to June 26 at 16.15 hrs and reach Tambaram at 04.10 hrs on the next day. These trains will halt at Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Vridhachalam, Tiruchi, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Satur, Kovilpatti, Tirunelveli and Valliyur. The composition of the trains would be one AC two tier coach, 2 AC three tier coach, 13 sleeper class coaches, 4 general second class coaches and 2 Guard cum Differently abled friendly coaches.
The Tirunelveli – Tambaram weekly special train (06004) via Tenkasi will leave Tirunelveli on Sundays from April 17 to June 26 at 19.00 hrs and reach Tambaram at 09.20 hrs on the next day. In the return direction, Tambaram – Tirunelveli weekly special train (06003) via Tenkasi will leave Tambaram on Tuesdays from April 18 to June 20 at 22.20 hrs and reach Madurai and Tirunelveli at 05.35 hrs and 10.35 hrs respectively on the next day. These trains will halt at Chenagalpattu, Villupuram, Vridhachalam, Tiruchi, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudunagar, Sivakasi, Srivilliputtur, Rajapalayam, Tenkasi, Pavurchatram, Kilakadayam, Ambasamudram and Cheranmahadevi. The composition of the trains would be one AC two tier coach, 2 AC three tier coach, 7 sleeper class coaches, 3 general second class coaches and 2 Guard cum Differently abled friendly coaches, the press release said.
