CM Stalin opens ‘Kunnathur Chathram’ new building in Madurai

MADURAI: The newly constructed Kunnathur Chatram building in Madurai city was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr.M.K.Stalin via virtual mode from Chennai today – on 30th August 2021. This important building came up at a project cost of Rs.7.91 crores under Madurai Smart City Project works. While Chief Minister Mr.M.K.Stalin had declared open the new Kunnathur Chathram building through video conferencing facility virtually from Chennai, among those present in Madurai during the inauguration include Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Mr.P.T.R.Palanivel Thiagarajan, Madurai District Collector Mr.Aneesh Shekar, Madurai Corporation Commissioner Dr.K.P.Karthikeyan, City Engineer in-charge Mrs.Suganthi, Corporation assistant commissioner Mr.Sureshkumar, Madurai Corporation PRO Mr.Maheswaran and others.

Shops that were functioning from Pudu Mandapam near Meenakshi Temple will be shifted to the new building constructed for Kunnathur Chatram, a press release issued by the Madurai Corporation on 30th August 2021 had informed.
