MADURAI: Shri.Kesava Vinayagam, the State Organising General Secretary of the BJP in Tamil Nadu, held a review meeting at Madurai on July 6th 2017 with the district leaders – both Madurai Urban and Madurai Rural – and also various other office-bearers.
Early in the day, he visited the party’s Makkal Sevai Mayyam in Bibikulam where he was briefed by the BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan about the progress of Vistarak work at booth level in Madurai district.
The BJP Tamil Nadu State leadership had started Vistarak initiative on June 23rd which is aimed at expanding the party base from booth level through house-to-house people contact programme and also build a strong network for strengthening the party at all levels.
Shri.Kesava Vinayagam was explained about the ‘Vistarak Call Centre’ started at Makkal Sevai Mayyam in Madurai from where a few full-time women office-bearers of the BJP have been contacting party functionaries to gather details about how the 15-day Vistarak work is going on in all the wards and booths.

Later, he was told about the newly launched English news website – www.lotustimes.org – which is carrying news items, party events and information connected to the party. The articles and other material carried recently in the website were shown to him.
In the evening, the State Organising General Secretary took part in the massive function at Thirupparankundram where more than 800 people from Devendra Kula Velalar community from 23 assembly constituencies joined BJP in the presence of senior party leaders from State and national level.
BJP ‘s political work and thought is indicative of a stable Democracy which can grow only in stages. The political dissolutionment existed over decades in the name of dravidianism will pale down into insignificance.
