MADURAI: Hospitality, design and digital media have become the key sectors of India’s future and those who have competence in these fields will emerge as successful entrepreneurs and effective leaders in the future, Dr.M.Abdul Kadir, former Principal, MSS Wakf Board in Madurai, has suggested.
“In today’s digital era, the sectors of hospitality, deisgn and digital media have become interconnected and this combine with human values will make you successful in your business,” he said while speaking at an international conference conducted by Srinivas University in Mangaluru in Karnataka on January 24th 2026 on the topic “Emerging Operational and Management Trends in Hospitality, Design and Digital Media’.
He said that hospitality is the fundamental guiding philosophy of services sector and true hospitality lies in 5-star behaviour, not with five-star buildings.
“I emphasize that hospitality, design and digital media are the key pillars of our country’s future. Digital media must act with ethics and resonsibility while design should go beyond aesthetics to promote sustainability,” Dr.M.Abdul Kadir added.
The keynote speakers at this conference like Mr.Hatangadi Bhaskar, P&L Manager, Emirates-UAE and Dr.Shareef Povval, Operations Manager, V-Zone International, UAE, spoke about customer experience, quality management, Artifical Intelligence, automation, data analytics and hospitality industry potential etc, according to a press release received here yesterday.
Prof.Prabhu, university Dean, Srinivas University-Mangalore, Prof.Subrat Saraf and Prof.Jeetha had highlighted the way in which this conference had integrated education, institution, industry and technological advancement that will help students in the university campus, the press release said and added that the conference was conducted by Institute of Hotel Management and Toursim, Department of Interior Design, Department of Animation DFM-VFX and Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Srinivas University in Mangalore.
