MADURAI: A special celebration event was organized at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2 in Thirupparankundram in Madurai on November 7th 2025 for ‘Grandparents Day’ to make the children understand about the love, wisdom and guidance of our grandparents in daily life and how they stand as a great joy and inspiration everyday with thier delightful face.
To mark this occasion, the KV-2 in Madurai had invited Dr.T.Mariappan, former scientist-F, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)-VCRC here as a chief guest to grace the Grandparents’ Day celebration and to tell the children of how important is the Grandparents Day to honour the love, wisdom and guidance of grandparents.
“The importance of ‘Thatha & Patti’ was highlighted by the KV students in Madurai at this special celebration function…Thanks to the efforts of KV-2 school Principal Mr.S.Lakshmi Narayanan and retired KVS employee Ms.Indira Ramaraju. The Kendriya Vidyalaya students at Thiruparankundram KV in Madurai took a pledge that they will not allow their grandparents to go to a separate home in the coming days, and that the grandparents’ role for guidkng the present generation,” Dr.T.Mariappan has said yesterday while sharing his feelings about the grandparents day celebration held at KV-II in Thirupparankundram in Madurai on November 7th 2025.
