Neurosurgeon Dr.K.Gireesh receives top Rotary award in Chennai on June 21st 2025.

CHENNAI: Dr.K.Gireesh, a senior neurosurgeon and neurophysician in Chennai who is popular in the city through health camps and road safety programs for college students to prevent head injuries was presented the ‘For the Sake of Honour Award’ of Rotary International by the Rotary Club of Madras Silver Beach in Chennai on June 21st 2025.

He was presented this award at the new president installation function of advocate Mr.Mohammed Kamal who was installed as president of Rotary Club of Madras Silver Beach in Rotary District 3234 at a function held in Nungambakkam in Chennai, according to a press release today.

Dr.K.Gireesh had introduced ‘Be Careful’ prevention program and the Rotary award is in recognition of his untiring work for the needy people through health camps and for propagating prevention of head injuries in various colleges for the past 20 years and for his academic brilliance in the field of neuro medicine as a top doctor, the press release added.

The neuro expert had appreciated the new Rotary club president Mr.Mohammed Kamal for his plans to propagate road safety through helmet wearing. Mr.Vinod Saraogi, Rotary District Governor in Chennai, was the chief guest while outgoing club president of Rotary Club of Madras Silver Beach Mr.Charlie was appreciated for his great work in the last one year.
