
MADURAI: The Sethu Institute of Technology (SIT) at Kariapatti near Madurai has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kiryavan Cyber Forensic Services Private Limited to foster collaborative initiatives that will promote cyber security awareness, hands-on training and career opportunities to students, research projects for faculty and internship projects in cyber security domain.
This MoU was signed at the end of a five-day short term training program ‘Enhancing Educators’ Skills through practical insights into cyber security’ which was organized from June 16th to June 20th 2025 by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) and CSE (Cyber Security) of SIT which is situated at Pulloor in Kariapatti in Virudhunagar district.
Mr.S.Mohamed Jaleel, founder and chairman, SIT and Mr.Ashok Kumar Mohan, founder and director of Kiryavan Cyber Forensic Services Private Limited, have signed and exchanged the MoU documents in the presence of Mr.S.M.Seeni Mohaideen, Chief Executive Officer-SIT, Mr.S.M.Seeni Mohamed Aliar Maraikkayar, Joint CEO, Mrs.S.M.Nilofer Fathima, Director (Administration) and Dr.S.M.Nazia Fathima, Director (R & D).
According to a press release here on June 21st 2025, the partnership will support real time exposure to cyber forensic tools, knowledge sharing through expert sessions, workshops and joint certification programs besides establishing a cyber security lab for academic and practical learning.
“These initiatives are expected to bridge the gap between academia and industry, and to equip students and faculty with competencies that are required to tackle modern cyber threats and contribute towards a safer digital ecosystem,” the press release added.
Among those who were present at the signing of MoU yesterday include SIT Pirncipal Dr.G.D.Sivakumar along with Dr.S.Siva Ranjani, Dean-IQAC, Dr.B.Guru Prakash and Dr.K.Nagalakshmi, Heads of Departments of CSE (AI & ML) and CSE (Cyber Security).
