
MADURAI: Helmets were distributed to 200 differently abled people in Madurai today-June 21st 2025- as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) gesture by Truhome Finance Limited and Elixr Foundation.
Mr.R.B.Udayakumar, former Minister and presently Deputy Leader in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, had personally handed over the free helmets to each person and appreciated the CSR initiative undertaken by Truhome Finance and Elixr Foundation.
“The safety of physically challenged persons on road while driving is more important and I appreciate the distribution of new helmets, that too in a sacred place like Gandhi Memorial Museum in Madurai today,” AIADMK MLA Mr.R.B.Udayakumar has said after presenting shawls and helmets to 200 differently abled persons here this morning.
Mr.Nellai Balu, founder of Maduraiyin Atchaya Paathiram Trust, who had coordinated the helmets distribution has said that presenting helmets on International Day of Yoga today is more significant because it stresses the health of individuals and road safety.
Mr.K.R.Nanda Rao, secretary, Gandhi Memorial Museum-Madurai, Mr.Jayakumar, Madurai Regional Head, Truhome Finance, Mr.M.Karthick of Elixr Foundation and Mr.S.Muthukrishnan along with Mr.V.Shanmughasundaram, Trustee, Arulmigu Subramaniya Swami Temple at Thiruparankundram were among those present while the helmets were presented at Gandhi Memorial Museum today.
“Totally 3,000 helmets are given to emphasize road safety for various sections of people in Madurai. And, today we chose differently abled persons,” Mr.M.Karthick and Mr.Nellai Balu told reporters.
